Carte Blanche à Tôn Thât Tiêt at the Saint-Maur CRR (music conservatory). The event was to take place last year but was unfortunately postponed dur to the pandemic and shrank in size. However, some of the events have been rescheduled this month, with a masterclass by harpist Frédérique Cambreling who has been performing my father’s work for so many years and recorded a full album of his music with the Trio Salzedo.The event goes on with the screening of Laurence Bancaud‘s documentary on my father, Et coule la rivière (And the River flows) on November 30th. Laurence Bancaud, also a harpist and my father’s biographer, has become a member of his intimate circle.
A concert of his chamber work will take place after the screening.

De la rivière des parfums aux bords de Marne. Tôn Thât Tiêt, un saint-maurien hors du commun Journées autour du compositeur Tôn-Thât Tiêt, organisées par Béatrice Guillermin en collaboration avec l’association Les Signes de l’Arc.

Samedi 27 novembre
9h30-12h30 : Master-classe avec Frédérique Cambreling.
Master class autour des oeuvres de Tôn-Thât Tiêt
Participation des élèves des classes de harpe, flûte, saxophone et piano.
Entrée libre avec pass sanitaire.

Après-midi : Ateliers
Atelier de découverte des modes de jeu de Tôn-Thât Tiêt avec Laurence Bancaud, puis atelier d’improvisation avec Hélène Breschand.

Mardi 30 novembre
20h30: Restitution de l’atelier d’improvisation
Projection d’un film Tôn-Thât Tiet… et coule la rivière, réalisé par Laurence Bancaud et produit par l’association Les Signes de l’Arc.
Concert de musique de chambre par les grands élèves du conservatoire.
